Job summary

The Manor of Farmington is seeking a Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents. The role oversees housekeeping and laundry services in accordance with facility policies and regulations, ensuring quality of life for residents.

This on-site, full-time position requires leadership, training and scheduling of staff, with a focus on reliability and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years housekeeping experience in an institutional environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily housekeeping and laundry operations.
• Plans, assigns and directs work for team members.
• Prepares work assignment sheets and staffing schedules.
• Receives calls and finds replacements for absent staff.
• Prepares performance evaluations impacting tenure and wage decisions.

The Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor is responsible for assuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment in the facility. Laundry services provided are maintained in accordance with facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations to maintain an environment that enhances the quality of life for residents.

Responsibilities:

• Interviews, hires and trains employees.
• Plans, assigns and directs work.
• Prepares work assignment sheets.
• Receives calls and finds replacements for absent staff.
• Prepares performance evaluations with the understanding that such evaluations impact tenure of probationary employees and wage increases of non-probationary employees.
• Schedules and adjusts lunch and rest breaks

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum or two (2) years housekeeping experience in an institutional environment.
