Job summary

Vasona Creek Healthcare Center in Los Gatos, CA is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to join our environmental services team. In this role, you will ensure that all linens, garments, and bedding are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and distributed to maintain a comfortable and safe environment for our residents and patients.

Qualifications

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred, ideally in healthcare or hospitality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions for equipment and chemicals.
• Strong physical stamina to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 35-50 pounds.
• Reliability, teamwork, and commitment to maintaining high safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, blankets, towels, and personal clothing for residents.
• Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and folding equipment safely.
• Use appropriate chemical formulas and washing cycles for fabrics.
• Inspect linens for stains or damage and treat or discard items as necessary.
• Deliver clean linens to nursing units and resident rooms efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary laundry room area.
• Adhere to infection control policies and healthcare safety guidelines.
