Martin County Health Care Facility in Kentucky is seeking a full-time Laundry Aide to join our team. This role supports a clean, comfortable living environment for residents and helps maintain dignity through proper laundry processing.

You will handle daily laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing residents’ clothing, while keeping work areas safe and organized in a residential care setting.

Qualifications

• Preferred that candidate has a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform general laundry tasks, including washing, drying and folding.
• Wash, dry, fold, iron, and store all facility laundry.
• Distribute residents' personal clothing.
• Keep work areas clean and free of hazards.
• Dispose of waste properly and line receptacles with liners.
• Ensure work areas and equipment are stored properly during and after shifts.
• Clean laundry equipment and carts.

Laundry Aide Responsibilities:

• Perform general laundry tasks, such as washing, drying, and folding laundry.
• Wash, dry, fold, iron, and store all facility laundry.
• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute all residents’ personal clothing.
• Keep work areas free of hazardous conditions, spills, baskets, supplies, equipment, etc.
• Discard waste and trash into proper containers and re-line receptacles with plastic liners.
• Assure that work assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc are properly stored during work periods, as well as before leaving the area for breaks, meals, and end of workday.
• Clean laundry equipment, carts, etc.

Laundry Aide Requirements:

• It is preferred that the Laundry Aide will have a minimum of a high school diploma or completed a GED program.
