Job summary

Northampton Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to join our team and ensure clean linens and clothing for residents. This full-time role supports a welcoming, home-like environment by handling laundry, folding, and delivery to residents with care and attention to detail.

Responsibilities include timely collection, washing and drying, safe equipment use, and adherence to infection control. Prior housekeeping experience and strong English communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience as a Laundry Aide or in housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Collect resident laundry from rooms in a timely and respectful manner.
• Wash, dry, and care for resident clothing and linens per procedures.
• Fold, sort, and return clean laundry accurately and neatly.
• Maintain organized laundry areas and operate equipment safely.
• Assist with non-clinical tasks to support facility operations.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines to stay sanitary.
• Report damaged or missing items to staff.

Responsibilities for Laundry Aide:

• Collect resident laundry from rooms in a timely and respectful manner.

• Wash, dry, and properly care for resident clothing and facility linens according to established procedures.

• Fold, sort, and return clean laundry to residents, ensuring items are delivered accurately and neatly.

• Maintain organized laundry areas and ensure equipment is used safely and properly.

• Assist with non-clinical support tasks as needed to support overall facility operations.

• Follow infection control procedures and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.

• Report any issues with damaged or missing items to the appropriate staff.

Qualifications for Laundry Aide:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Prior experience as a Laundry Aide or in a housekeeping role preferred.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

• Ability to follow instructions, maintain attention to detail, and work effectively in a team environment.
