Job summary

Berea Health & Rehabilitation is hiring a Laundry Aide for a full-time evening shift (12-8pm). You will perform general laundry tasks, manage residents' clothing, and keep areas clean and well-organized.

Responsibilities

• Perform general laundry tasks: wash, dry, fold laundry.
• Wash, dry, fold, iron, and store facility laundry.
• Distribute residents' personal clothing.
• Maintain clean work areas and proper storage of equipment and supplies.
• Dispose of waste properly and line containers with liners.
• Ensure areas are safe and equipment is stored during breaks and end of day.
• Clean laundry equipment and carts.

Laundry Aide Job Duties

• Perform general laundry tasks, such as washing, drying, and folding laundry.

• Wash, dry, fold, iron, and store all facility laundry.

• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute all residents’ personal clothing.

• Keep work areas free of hazardous conditions, spills, baskets, supplies, equipment, etc.

• Discard waste and trash into proper containers and re-line receptacles with plastic liners.

• Assure that work assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored during work periods, as well as before leaving the area for breaks, meals, and end of workday.

• Clean laundry equipment, carts, etc.

Laundry Aide Requirements

• It is preferred that the Laundry Aide will have a minimum of a high school diploma or completed a GED program.
