Job summary

Avalon Health Care Bellingham is seeking a detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our amazing team. This full-time position offers a 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm shift and pays $20.35-$23.95 per hour.

Come join our team and contribute to high-quality resident care! Responsibilities include linen processing, distribution of clean linen, and assisting other departments while maintaining a clean, well-organized laundry area.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality preferred.
• Must enjoy serving seniors.
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service and hospitality.
• Must be organized with attention for detail.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of linen services to include collection, sorting, washing and drying of linen.
• Count, sort and distribute daily clean linen.
• Wash personal clothing of residents who request this service.
• Handle linen services for other facility departments as required. Maintain the laundry room in a clean and orderly manner.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while handling linen and chemicals.
• Must be able to work in a non-regulated temperature environment.
