Job summary

Avalon Health Care Group in Kent, WA is seeking a detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team at Benson Heights Rehabilitation Center. You will provide clean laundry services to residents in accordance with regulations and our standards.

The role is On Call with Saturday and Sunday 2pm-10pm shifts. Candidates should have a high school diploma; prior housekeeping or healthcare hospitality experience is preferred; must demonstrate reliability and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality is preferred.
• Demonstrates reliability and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform all linen services: collection, sorting, washing and drying of linen.
• Count, sort and distribute daily clean linen.
• Wash personal clothing of residents who request this service.
• Handle linen services for other facility departments and keep the laundry area clean.
• Use PPE and follow safety protocols handling chemicals.
• Maintain a clean, orderly laundry room and work efficiently.

Benson Heights Rehab Center in Kent is seeking a detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our amazing team!

$18.00 /hour

Schedule: On Call on Saturday and Sunday 2pm -10pm

The laundry aide serves residents by providing clean laundry in accordance with all laws, regulations, and company standards.

Full-time are eligible for:

Part-time are eligible for all of the above except Medical. On Call are not eligible for any of the above except 401k **Placement within the wage range for this position is determined by years of experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions.**

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of linen services to include collection, sorting, washing and drying of linen.
• Count, sort and distribute daily clean linen.
• Wash personal clothing of residents who request this service.
• Handle linen services for other facility departments as required. Maintain the laundry room in a clean and orderly manner.
• Use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) while handling linen and chemicals.
• Must be able to work in a non-regulated temperature environment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality setting preferred.

• Must enjoy serving seniors.
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service and hospitality.
• Must demonstrate trustworthiness and dependability.
• Must work efficiently and effectively with little to no supervision.
• Must be organized with attention for detail.
• Must follow proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants and solutions used in the work area.
• Must avoid energy waste (i.e., unnecessary lights).
• Must have the abilityto read, write, speak and understand English.
