Job summary

Fehr & Peers, a transportation planning and design firm, is seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer or Planner in Riverside, CA. You will build a foundation by applying standard techniques under guidance while growing your skills and responsibilities across planning, engineering, and design projects.

You will contribute to transportation analyses, meetings, public outreach materials, and data collection, with mentorship and opportunities to participate in internal R&D and cross-project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or in-progress master’s in transportation, civil or electrical engineering, urban and regional planning, or related field
• EIT is preferred for engineering candidates
• Experience with transportation topics and software tools listed
• Strong analytical, writing, and public-speaking skills
• Entrepreneurial spirit and proactive communication
• Genuine curiosity about transportation and community travel challenges
• Interpersonal skills and collaborative approach
• Organizational skills and ability to balance priorities
• Experience with technical writing and public speaking
• Openness to learning new technologies and tools

Responsibilities

• Conduct transportation analyses and prepare technical deliverables.
• Support project coordination and meetings, including presentations.
• Collect field data and conduct site visits.
• Engage with Fehr & Peers internal R&D initiatives.
• Learn and adopt new tools and methods with professional judgment.
