Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati Eastside seeks a Personal Banker Associate I to begin with a 4-8 week onboarding and education program, rotating through operations and Sales & Service. The role focuses on using consultative sales to identify and meet customer financial needs, acquiring new households, and deepening relationships while handling teller duties.

The program culminates in a certification to demonstrate skills for the Retail Personal Banker role; strong customer service and sales

Qualifications

• College degree or work experience providing transferable skills, or a combination of education and experience.
• Experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with sales activities to acquire new customers and cross-sell to existing customers.
• Must be able to analyze credit and financial information using basic math.
• NMLS/S.A.F.E. Act registration required at employment.

Responsibilities

• Use consultative sales process and needs assessment to identify customer financial needs.
• Maintain knowledge of Retail products/services and recommend solutions.
• Proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for financial reviews.
• Cross-sell to existing customers and participate in outside sales activities.
• Collaborate with partners in Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial, and Investment to provide comprehensive solutions.
• Meet/exceed customer experience and production goals and contribute to center revenue growth.
• Assist CSRs with sales and referral processes; handle teller transactions and service duties.
