Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer on the Launch Vehicle Integration - Electrical Engineering team to design, test, and sustain electrical ground support equipment for satellite production, integration, and launch operations. You will work hands-on with electrical hardware across schematics, PCBA, harnessing, and rack-level assemblies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience designing and debugging electrical hardware.
  • Experience designing and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, or logic analyzers.
  • Experience with electrical power distribution, signal interfaces, and harnessing.
  • Experience bringing up, testing, and troubleshooting electrical hardware.
  • Experience developing technical documentation such as schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support existing EGSE used for satellite integration, test, and launch operations.
  • Troubleshoot hardware failures and integration issues using schematics and test equipment.
  • Implement design changes to improve reliability and address obsolescence.
  • Support engineering change and configuration control activities.
  • Perform hardware checkout, acceptance testing, and verification.
  • Investigate hardware issues and support root-cause analysis.
  • Provide hands-on electrical support during integration, test, and launch with potential travel.
  • Support design and development of new EGSE hardware under direction.
