Job summary

Amazon LEO is hiring a Sr. Satellite Hardware Development Engineer to lead the ground gateway hardware workstream.

You will own the design from concept through production, collaborating with RF/modem, power, mechanical, thermal, and software teams to deliver a high‑speed, reliable gateway system that meets performance and environmental requirements. You will review schematics, optimize PCB layout, lead bring‑up and testing, and drive the transition of designs to production with contract

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years hardware engineering experience.
• 4+ years using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters).
• 3+ years in high speed (SERDES) and/or mixed signal PCBA design.

Responsibilities

• Own the ground gateway gigabit data rate modem design from concept through production.
• Design and optimize blocks of electronics sub-systems.
• Lead schematic capture and PCB layout reviews.
• Support transition of designs to production with the contract manufacturer.
