Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced Electrical & Controls Engineer to design, develop, and verify data collection and control systems for ground launch support facilities and flight components. You will lead projects, create electrical schematics, and help advance launch vehicle power and control systems.

The role requires hands-on PLC/SCADA work, wiring diagrams, and collaboration with technicians to install and commission new systems while maintaining rigorous safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with AutoCad Electrical and control system design.
• 1–5 years in launch vehicle power, control systems, or related areas.
• Experience with Rockwell or Siemens hardware and NEC/NASA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects for industrial control systems and PLC hardware applications.
• Create and modify electrical schematics, diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
• Design electrical ground support equipment for launch operations.
• Develop and modify Launch Vehicle electrical/controls systems and interfaces.
• Assist in peer reviews and coordinate fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
• Document specifications and operating procedures; ensure compliance and safety.
