Job summary

Blue Origin, based in Florida, seeks an Electrical/Controls Engineer to design, develop, and maintain instrumentation, power supply architecture, and embedded controls for the New Glenn program. You will develop PLC/HMI applications, participate in commissioning of facilities, and troubleshoot systems to improve efficiency and quality of operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
1–5 years in design and operations of launch vehicle power & control systems.
Experience with AutoCad Electrical.
Cable design using Mil-Spec connectors.
Experience with Microsoft Office products.
U.S. citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Project leadership in all aspects of industrial control system, PLC hardware applications, design, fabrication support, PLC Software development.
Design new and modify existing electrical power and controls schematics, single line and interconnect diagrams.
Design new and modify existing assembly drawings of designs.
Design of Electrical Ground Support Equipment for launch vehicle charge/discharge system.
Design of Launch Vehicle Electrical Umbilical & Disconnect Systems.
Design of Launch Vehicle Launch Ready, Commit, Abort Control System.
Design of Electrical Control systems used in ground support functions for fluids or mechanical operations.
Assist in peer review of internal and external supplier design documentation.
Work directly with technicians to progress fabrication, installation, and commissioning of new or modified systems at any Blue Origin site?
