Job summary

Stoke Space is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to design and integrate flight avionics packaging and harness systems for a rapidly reusable launch vehicle. You will collaborate with avionics, structures, and production teams to deliver reliable hardware for qualification and flight.

You will conduct thermal and structural analyses, iterate designs, and contribute to manufacturing readiness and design reviews, staying fast-paced and results-driven in a startup setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace engineering or related field; 3+ years design/analysis experience.
• Experience taking hardware from concept through design, analysis, fabrication and test.
• Proficiency with parametric 3D CAD and 2D drawings; GD&T per ASME Y14.5.

Responsibilities

• Design, manufacture, and test packaging for flight avionics and actuators.
• Design, analyse, and integrate harness routing and secondary structures; create CAD models and drawings.
• Perform thermal, structural, and tolerance analyses using hand methods and FEA.
