Job summary

Stoke Space in Cape Canaveral, FL is seeking a Launch Avionics Integration & Test Engineer to own the integration and testing of avionics flight hardware on the NOVA launch vehicle. You will work with avionics, fluids, structures, software and manufacturing teams to define integration, electrical checkout, and test sequences for launch readiness.

The role requires a hands-on engineer capable of building electrical ground support equipment, developing test plans, and supporting day-of-launch

Qualifications

  • B.S. in electrical or related engineering field required.
  • 5+ years in avionics/electrical work for launch vehicles or GSE.
  • Experience with electrical design, integration and testing.
  • Proficient in creating procedures and automated test sequences.
  • Experience building ground support/automation for power-up and testing.
  • Strong RF fundamentals and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to travel and work in varied environments.

Responsibilities

  • Understand interfaces to integrate and operate the launch vehicle.
  • Own avionics systems from receipt to launch operations.
  • Develop ground support equipment and test plans.
  • Coordinate with software, structures, and manufacturing teams.
  • Utilize hardware-in-the-loop tests to validate configurations.
  • Plan and execute system integration and checkout tests at the launch site.
  • Troubleshoot electrical hardware and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop day-of-flight procedures for charging, health checks, and launch.
  • Support integrated stage and hot-fire testing at Cape Canaveral.
  • Operate avionics system during day-of-launch and recovery.
