Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Mission Manager, Launch to own and oversee launch site activities for current and future customer spacecraft missions from Vandenberg AFB. You will manage mission planning, coordinate with operations teams, and ensure customer requirements are met throughout launch site processing and rehearsals.

The role requires a strong background in engineering or science, 5+ years in technical PM, and 4+ years hands-on hardware/software experience, with travel to launch sites and government

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or science.
• 5+ years of technical project management experience.
• 4+ years of experience working hands-on with hardware or software technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Function as launch site focal point for spacecraft range requirements and safety documentation.
• Serve as launch site point of contact for spacecraft interface requirements validation with multidisciplinary teams.
• Be SME and primary contact for customer spacecraft processing, transportation, and logistics at the launch site.
• Plan and generate technical content for launch portions of design reviews and ground ops planning.
• Plan and manage spacecraft rehearsals and inputs into SpaceX launch operations.
• Coordinate spacecraft daily processing and scheduling; contribute to integrated launch schedules.
• Identify, develop, and codify process improvements for standardization of processing activities.
• Draft launch base elements of new proposals and contracts.
• Plan, schedule, and staff customer launch site visits and technical meetings.
