Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Launch Pad Technician for multiple shifts to maintain and assemble fluid and mechanical systems on launch pads. The role requires hands-on fabrication, troubleshooting, and collaboration with engineers to ensure a successful launch of a multimillion-dollar vehicle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 2+ years of experience using power tools in a professional capacity.
• Military aviation experience as a propulsion or airframe technician is preferred.
• ASE certification and/or mechanical automotive experience is preferred.
• Experience working on a rocket launch pad and directly supporting launch operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install fluid system components from a schematic or engineering drawing, including valves, regulators, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot operational issues found during activation of fluid and mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers to ensure high-quality systems for launch readiness.
• Operate heavy machinery including forklifts and aerial platforms.
• Conduct maintenance tasks for vehicle integration, pad maintenance, and site operations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow procedures for field fabrication.
