Job summary

Alliance Animal in Knoxville is hiring a Veterinary Practice Manager to lead pre-opening activities and establish operations for our Priority Pet Urgent Care. You will coordinate equipment, PMS, marketing, and staffing to ensure a smooth grand opening in October 2026.

The role requires CVPM certification or substantial veterinary management experience, with strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced or Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) with a minimum of 1-year management experience preferred or 3+ years veterinary experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and motivated teamwork skills.
• Ability to work well with all team members and support hospital doctors and staff.
• Compassionate and calm team-player with multitasking ability.
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills, highly organized, proficient with computers.
• Knowledge of hospital procedures for patient records and veterinary terminology.

Responsibilities

• Pre-opening responsibilities: equipment ordering and tracking.
• Pre-opening marketing and vendor account setup.
• PMS setup and supply purchasing.
• Recruitment: interviewing, hiring and training prior to grand opening.
• Manage staff schedules, performance, and trainings.
• Establish inventory control including controlled substances and pricing.
• Ensure payroll processes and vendor relationships are maintained.
• Communicate with veterinary regional manager on staffing needs and changes.
