Job summary

Mach Industries in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own the Vehicle Assembly processes for our autonomous defense vehicles. You will manage the stations, tooling, and work instructions from late-stage prototypes to full-rate production, partnering with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Packaging, Material Flow and Automation to ensure launch readiness.

You will lead DFMA reviews, establish cycle times, line balance, and tool requirements, and support MES work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial and Systems, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 4 years for Manufacturing Engineer; 5+ years for Senior Manufacturing Engineer with at least one production launch.
• Understanding of assembly process design, cycle-time analysis, line balancing, ergonomics, and error-proofing.
• Hands-on experience with assembly processes, tools, fixtures, or shop-floor equipment.
• Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and process capability.
• Working knowledge of PFMEA, SPC, and structured problem-solving.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (Siemens NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks).
• Ability to keep commitments, follow up with partner teams, and raise problems early.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Launch readiness for your assigned stations or line section from late-stage prototypes through full-rate production.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Packaging Engineering and Material Flow to ensure readiness for each build.
• Resolve manufacturability issues and track engineering changes affecting your stations.
• Prepare and present virtual builds including assembly sequence and tolerances.
• Develop the process for your area, including build sequence, station content, line balance, and cycle time.
• Write and release MES gates and train technicians on new processes.
• Provide daily floor support during builds and ramp; track yield and cycle time; implement corrective actions.
• Use PFMEA, SPC, and structured problem-solving to improve quality and throughput.
• Lead DFM/A reviews and virtual builds for senior level; mentor engineers.
