Job summary

Mach Industries is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer, DFMA - Joining in Huntington Beach, CA. You will own the Joining DFMA guide, select and deploy torque tooling, and drive R&D for faster, cheaper production.

You will collaborate with Design Engineering, Vehicle Assembly ME, and Quality to meet ramp goals across factories. You will manage tool standards, study joining methods, and lead value engineering on designs while ensuring journaled data supports decisions.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Materials or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years hands‑on experience in fastener engineering, adhesive bonding or joining process engineering.
• Deep knowledge of bolted joints (VDI 2230) and bonding science.

Responsibilities

• Own the Joining DFMA guide: write, publish, maintain.
• Own torque tooling in prototype factory: tool specs, vendor quotes, budget.
• Lead R&D in joining: DOE experiments, design tests, publish findings.
• Lead trade studies and make-vs-buy decisions for joining methods.
• Lead DFMA studies and provide data-backed feedback to design teams.
