Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a Supply Chain & Procurement Project Leader in Jessup, MD (hybrid) to design, implement, and launch the end-to-end supply chain operating model for major plant startups and strategic initiatives. You will partner with Product Owner, site leadership, and regional/global teams to drive supplier readiness, systems implementation, and production ramp-up.

The role requires 10+ years in supply chain or related fields, strong leadership, extensive SAP/ERP experience, and excellence

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
10+ years in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or manufacturing operations, including leadership of complex cross-functional initiatives.
Experience supporting plant startups, expansions, transfers, transformations, integrations, or other large-scale operational changes strongly preferred.
Broad knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement, production planning, MRP, capacity planning, SIOP, inventory management, transportation, warehousing, material handling, and finished goods operations.
Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system.

Responsibilities

Own the integrated supply chain, logistics, and procurement readiness plan aligned with the project scope and timeline.
Lead local supplier identification, evaluation, selection, qualification, and onboarding with cross-functional partners.
Ensure supplier agreements, terms, service expectations, and contract requirements are understood and monitored.
Develop sourcing strategies for raw materials and components to meet cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and continuity needs.
Lead production planning readiness including MRP, capacity planning, and SIOP integration.
Establish inbound/outbound transportation strategies including routing, schedules, and freight requirements.
Develop warehousing and material flow strategies to support safe, efficient operations.
Define equipment, space, labor, and process requirements for receiving, storage, and finished goods management.
Lead SAP readiness for supply chain and scheduling processes, including master data and reporting.
Establish initial inventory strategy for launch and ramp.
Lead organizational readiness and change management to adopt new processes and systems.
Coordinate end-to-end supply chain testing and launch-readiness activities.
Identify and mitigate supply, capacity, logistics, inventory, and system risks affecting project timing or service.
Create and manage the integrated Supply Chain project plan with milestones and risks.
Establish performance measures to monitor supplier, material, inventory, logistics, system, and launch performance.
Build capability and readiness of Supply Chain through talent development and succession planning.
Ensure a disciplined transition from project execution to sustained site ownership.
