Job summary

Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California seeks an HQA Engineer and Facilitator to lead Hardware Record Certification Reviews and Support Equipment Certification Reviews. You will coordinate review prep, structure reviews, and drive action tracking across stakeholders.

You will also perform Hardware QA Level II activities, ensuring inspection points and workmanship standards are applied, contributing to QA process improvements and collaboration with senior QA engineers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or related technical discipline required; 3 years exp or a Master's with 1 year exp.
  • Knowledge in Quality Engineering, Industrial Systems, Config Management, Supplier Management, Audits, Inspection techniques, or Manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with standards for design, engineering, fabrication and launch of space-flight hardware.
  • Proficiency in mechanical and electronic hardware assurance methods (inspection, test, analysis).
  • Experience developing and maintaining QA processes, plans and procedures; risk management knowledge.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to produce reports.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Hardware Record Certification Reviews (HRCRs) and SECRs.
  • Coordinate review preparation and project review structures.
  • Coordinate and facilitate review meetings; document discussions and track actions.
  • Collaborate with HQA Leads, Mission Assurance, Cognizant Engineers and project staff.
  • Support closure of action items to maintain project schedule.
