Impulse Space is hiring Electrical Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Engineers in Redondo Beach. This role involves designing, building, and deploying critical systems that interface directly with flight hardware. The position requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, hands-on experience, and an understanding of electrical system design fundamentals. Exceptional candidates will also mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in GSE standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying EGSE or other high-reliability electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical system design fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Own EGSE hardware through the full lifecycle.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with avionics, propulsion, and operations teams.
• Develop interface control documents and engineering release drawings.

Skills

Electrical system design fundamentals

Hands-on experience with electrical testing

Familiarity with aerospace communication protocols

Ability to work in fast-paced environments

Education

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
