Job summary

Impulse Space, Redondo Beach, is seeking a Senior Avionics Ground Systems Engineer (Electrical) to develop and integrate ground systems interfacing with flight avionics and vehicle networks. You will enable rapid testing, seamless integration, and reliable launch execution through hands-on hardware development.

You will partner with avionics, RF, propulsion, software, structures, test, and operations teams to deliver high-performance data acquisition and control solutions that are safe,

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years designing and deploying electrical ground systems / avionics integration hardware.
• Strong fundamentals in signal integrity, grounding, EMI/EMC, and power distribution.

Responsibilities

• Own hardware through full lifecycle from architecture to deployment.
• Develop electrical architectures for ground support equipment and data acquisition.
• Design rack-level hardware, harnesses, enclosures, and vehicle interfaces.
• Troubleshoot interfaces between ground systems and flight hardware.
• Perform system-level testing, integration, and fault isolation.
• Support vehicle test operations and launch campaigns.
