Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Engineer for SSD Configurations & Testing. You will own end-to-end testing and validation of site configurations for new launches and retrofits, coordinating with Launch, IT, Startup, Engineering and Operations teams to meet deadlines.

As a customer-obsessed leader, you will drive readiness across multiple sites, identify risks, and implement scalable processes. Expect substantial travel and a critical role in go-live readiness across the SSD network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams through launch readiness and go-live phases.
• Experience building launch readiness frameworks and scalable deployment mechanisms across multiple sites.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end testing and validation of site configurations for new launches and retrofits.
• Partner with Launch, IT, Startup, Engineering, Operations teams and external vendors to set priorities and milestones.
• Identify gaps or risks in advance of deployment and drive mitigation solutions.
• Lead and coordinate execution to validate systems, equipment, and automated processes meet standards.
• Monitor and report testing progress and milestones affecting cost or schedule.
• Solve ambiguous problems across configurations and drive scalable processes to reduce defects.
• Build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders for alignment and handover.
• Identify and lead process improvements to boost readiness and quality of launches.
• Travel up to 80% domestically; up to three weeks in a row including weekends.
