Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks an Operations Engineer for SSD Configurations & Testing in Irving, TX. You will lead end-to-end testing and validation of site configurations for new launches, retrofits, and expansions, ensuring readiness prior to go-live across the SSD network.

You will collaborate with Launch, IT, Startup, Engineering, and Operations teams to set milestones, manage schedules, and mitigate risks while driving process improvements and ensuring high-quality deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution through launch readiness and go-live phases
• Experience building launch readiness frameworks, standard work, playbooks, and scalable deployment mechanisms across multiple concurrent sites
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
• 3+ years of professional experience

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end testing and validation of site configurations for new launches and retrofits.
• Partner with Launch, IT, Startup, Engineering, Operations and vendors to set milestones and schedules.
• Assess configuration readiness; identify gaps and mitigate risks.
• Lead execution to validate systems, equipment and automated processes.
• Monitor/testing progress and report milestones and cost/schedule impact.
• Solve ambiguous problems across configurations; develop scalable processes to reduce defects.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships for alignment and handover.
• Identify/process improvements to improve readiness and quality.
• Travel up to 80% domestically; potential three weeks in a row including weekends.
