Job summary

Shape Corp. is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop APQP documentation and support the Product Realization Process. The role covers action in the general quality system, launch quality, and manufacturing quality areas to resolve issues and improve processes.

Responsibilities include maintaining APQP documents through PPAP, implementing inspection and gage instructions, and ensuring ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards. Travel may be required as part of supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or 3+ years in automotive manufacturing.
• Proficient in GD&T and tolerance stack-up applications.
• Knowledge of AIAG core tools and quality management systems.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop APQP documentation to support Product Realization Process (FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP).
• Maintain documentation per Shape Corp specs for document control and retrievability.
• Interface with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Support ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems.
• Develop and train backups for key tasks and manage tasks when absent.
• Lead problem solving to prevent quality issues in production.
