Job summary

Shape Corp. is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) to join the Program core team in Grand Haven, MI. The CQE will voice the customer and drive APQP milestones throughout all program phases, ensuring robust PFMEA, control plans, and PPAP alignment with the SPMP process.

Responsibilities include developing APQP documentation, coordinating with Shape plants and suppliers, and leading containment and inspection plan generation to ensure successful product realization and on-time launches.

Qualifications

• Experience executing APQP activities and leading PPAP submissions.
• Strong knowledge of FMEA, MSA, SPC, and control plans.
• Ability to interpret customer requirements and drive quality milestones.

Responsibilities

• Develop APQP documentation to support Product Realization per customer requirements.
• Facilitate PFMEA, Control Plans, and PFMEA documents with focus on key characteristics.
• Ensure inspection and containment plans are in place for the process value stream.
• Lead PPAP submission and approval for new programs and changes.
• Coordinate customer quality events with Shape plants and suppliers.
• Oversee gaging, design approval, and customer approval processes.
• Drive corrective actions to reduce quality incidents and improve delivery.
