Job summary

Shape Corp. is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop APQP documentation and support the Product Realization Process, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and Shape Corp standards.

You will manage PPAP activities, assist in the maintenance of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems, and lead cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions at suppliers and production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; 3+ years in automotive manufacturing preferred.
• Proficient in GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Knowledge of AIAG Core Tools and customer development processes.
• Understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, TS16949).
• Experience with Product Warranty documentation.
• Proficient in project management using Microsoft applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop APQP documentation to support Product Realization per customer requirements (FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP).
• Maintain documentation for Shape Corp specifications and retrievability.
• Interface with customers to resolve quality issues and concerns.
• Participate in ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems development and maintenance.
• Plan, support, and implement total quality management for launches.
• Develop and control APQP documents through PPAP for new programs.
• Lead problem solving to improve production quality and implement containment.
• Coordinate with external providers to ensure quality and corrective actions.
