Job summary

Via is seeking a Launch Principal to lead the launch of new services across markets, owning technology implementation, operations setup, and performance. You will lead a 30+ frontline team, manage partner relationships with transit agencies, and drive cost efficiency while maintaining service quality.

You will work at the intersection of strategy, operations and product/technology, travel up to 50% and shape how new markets run for years to come. This is a high-impact leadership role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in tech operations, startup expansion, or execution-focused consulting.
• Analytical and adaptable with ability to interpret operational data to make decisions.
• Clear communicator with experience managing partner relationships and cross-functional teams.
• Bias for action in launch plans facing real-world friction.

Responsibilities

• Launch & Service Performance: own launches from technology implementation to operational setup and manage KPIs.
• People Leadership: lead 30+ field operators and drivers, hire, coach, and nurture frontline leaders.
• Partner & Stakeholder Management: manage transit agency relationships and community stakeholders.
• Operational Excellence: drive continuous improvement in vehicle operations, maintenance, and service delivery.
• Product Development: influence the product roadmap for Via's new offerings.
