Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Mission Manager, Launch at its Vandenberg site. You will own mission planning and oversee launch site activities for current and future customer missions, coordinating with operations teams to meet customer requirements from spacecraft arrival to on-console support.

You will serve as the primary contact for customer processing, logistics, and interface validation, and you will push for improvements in processes and standardization while supporting government and commercial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or science.
• 5+ years of technical project management experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on hardware or software project experience.

Responsibilities

• Function as launch site focal point for spacecraft range requirements and safety documentation.
• Serve as launch site point of contact for interface validation with multidisciplinary teams.
• Be the subject matter expert for customer spacecraft processing, transportation, and logistics at the launch site.
• Plan and generate technical content for launch portions of design reviews and ground ops planning.
• Plan and manage spacecraft rehearsals and day-of-launch inputs.
• Coordinate spacecraft daily processing and scheduling with SpaceX launch schedules.
• Identify and codify process improvements to standardize activities.
• Draft launch base elements of new proposals and contracts.
• Plan, schedule, and staff customer launch site visits and technical meetings.
