Job summary

Gray Matter Systems, Llc seeks an entry-level Control Systems Engineer I for its Launch Lab program. You’ll learn from seasoned engineers, contribute to PLC, HMI, SCADA projects, and support real customer initiatives across the United States.

You will travel extensively, relocate as needed, and grow from Engineer I toward advanced engineering roles within a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related discipline, with degree completion by start date and within 12 months prior.
• 2.8+ GPA.
• Interest in automation, controls, robotics, electrical systems, or industrial tech.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% and relocate for project work.

Responsibilities

• Support Automation Projects: assist with PLC, HMI, SCADA, and control system projects from development through startup.
• Troubleshoot & Solve Problems: help identify technical issues, test solutions, and support improvements.
• Learn by Doing: gain hands-on experience with programming, commissioning, and automation technologies with mentors.
• Work with Teams & Customers: participate in project meetings, site visits, and customer interactions.
