Job summary

Gray Matter Systems, Llc seeks an entry-level Control Systems Engineer I through its Launch Lab program to learn how industrial automation and controls are designed, programmed, tested, and supported while contributing to real customer projects.

You will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and commissioning. The role requires 50–100% travel and relocation to project sites across the United States, with mentorship and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering completed by start date and within 12 months prior.
• GPA 2.8+ required.
• Interest in automation, controls, or industrial technology.
• Willingness to travel 50%–100% and relocate to project sites across the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Support Automation Projects: assist PLC, HMI, SCADA, and control system projects from development through startup.
• Troubleshoot & solve problems: identify issues, test solutions, and support system improvements.
• Learn by Doing: gain hands-on experience with programming, commissioning, and automation technologies with mentors.
• Work with Teams & Customers: participate in project meetings, site visits, and customer interactions while developing professional skills.
