Job summary

Reich Tool & Design is seeking a CNC Lathe Specialist for the 2nd shift. You will set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines in a climate-controlled, aerospace-focused shop. You’ll run lathes and mills, adjust tooling and speeds, read prints with GD&T, and document production while adhering to LEAN and ISO standards.

The role emphasizes accuracy, problem-solving, and ownership of craftsmanship in a family-owned environment with strong culture and team support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC lathe experience in a job shop environment.
• Strong math, blueprint reading, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and run multiple machines.
• Journeyman’s card in CNC and/or Toolmaking.
• CAD/CAM knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate horizontal lathes and vertical mills.
• Perform bar feeder, live tooling, and rotary axis setups.
• Adjust speeds, feeds, tooling, and machining sequences.
• Load tools, indicate parts, and set work coordinates.
• Machine parts per print while holding close tolerances.
• Read blueprints and GD&T specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments to inspect parts.
• Run multiple machines and complete production documentation.
• Support LEAN, 5S, ISO 9001-2015, and ISO 13485 initiatives.
