Job summary

Reich Tool & Design, a family-owned job shop, seeks a CNC Lathe Specialist for 2nd shift to work on 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines, Swiss turning, and Wire EDM in a climate-controlled facility. You will handle setups, tool changes, and precision inspections while supporting LEAN and ISO initiatives.

The role offers a collaborative culture with varied work and opportunities to own processes and solve complex parts for aerospace and medical projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC lathe experience in a job shop environment.
• Strong math, blueprint reading, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and run multiple machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate horizontal lathes and vertical mills.
• Perform bar feeder, live tooling, and rotary axis setups.
• Adjust speeds, feeds, tooling, and machining sequences.
• Load tools, indicate parts, and set work coordinates.
• Machine parts per print while holding close tolerances.
• Read blueprints and GD&T specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments to inspect parts.
• Run multiple machines and complete production documentation.
• Support LEAN, 5S, ISO 9001-2015, and ISO 13485 initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of CNC machining lathe experience in a job shop environment
• Strong math, blueprint reading, and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and run multiple machines

• Journeyman's card in CNC and/or Toolmaking
• CAD/CAM knowledge
• Must be a U.S. citizen
