They answer emergency and non-emergency calls using a multi-line telephone and 9-1-1 systems. Responsibilities include receiving, processing, and dispatching calls for service and providing information to personnel. This position requires shift work, and all employees must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as required. Also, lateral, full-time 911 Dispatchers have the ability to earn paid time off (up to 80 hours) based on previous experience in the same job function through our Award Leave program, if eligible. **THE HIRING PROCESS:** **Submit an Application**Please visit our employee page to apply online. **Interview**The most qualified applicants will be scheduled for an oral board interview.
