Job summary

Elite quantitative trading firm seeks a hands-on Trade Operations professional to act as the operational backbone of our live trading infrastructure in Chicago. You will oversee latency-sensitive execution pipelines and ensure our automated fleet remains robust during peak volatility.

You will work directly with algorithmic developers and traders to troubleshoot live incidents, reconcile post-trade settlements, and automate workflows with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years in trade operations, settlement, reconciliation, or technical trade support.
• Fluency in Linux and Windows OS.
• Scripting in Python/Bash/PowerShell to automate workflows.
• SQL proficiency; JSON/XML/Parquet data formats.
• Experience with AI code-generation tools.
• Ability to remain composed under high pressure when resolving critical system anomalies.

Responsibilities

• Command our real-time execution matrix, ensuring latency-sensitive pricing engines and routing systems run without friction.
• Execute rapid-response technical troubleshooting for live production incidents, mitigating exposure during high-velocity market events.
• Drive complex post-trade reconciliation, managing the complete lifecycle of trade close, settlements, and position audits across disparate venues.
• Architect robust automation scripts to eliminate manual bottlenecks and enhance our system telemetry dashboards.
• Seamlessly orchestrate proprietary software rollouts and configure trading applications to maintain our execution edge.
• Interface directly with external liquidity providers, venue APIs, and clearing partners to resolve structural trade breaks.
