Zusammenfassung

BBVA USA in New York seeks a mid-level professional to support the LATAM Loan Syndicate Sales & Trading team. You will assist underwriting, distribution and secondary loan activities across Corporate, Project Finance and Real Estate.

You will work with coverage bankers, Risk and PM to set final hold levels, prepare LUAs, manage investor contacts and drive effective sell-down strategies while ensuring compliance and timely reporting.

Qualifikationen

• The candidate has a degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related field; MBA is a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in loan syndicate or syndicated finance.
• Knowledge of Corporate, Mid-Corporate, Project/Infrastructure finance and Real Estate LatAm loan markets.
• Track record underwriting and syndicating LATAM transactions.
• Strong financial statement analysis, modeling and DCF skills.
• Familiar with due diligence materials in Project Finance/Infrastructure.
• Excellent English and Spanish written and verbal skills.
• Team player with ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Debtdomain, Salesforce, Bloomberg; other market research tools.
• Strong analytical skills.

Aufgaben

• Identify underwriting opportunities across business lines with coverage bankers and origination teams.
• Collaborate with Risk and PM to determine final hold levels.
• Formulate underwriting commitments and de-risk strategies.
• Prepare LUAs to LUC and other committees as needed.
• Maintain investor databases and ongoing contact with investors including the Sales team.
• Identify investor lists and formulate distribution strategies where BBVA is Lead Arranger/Bookrunner.
• Organize bank meetings and marketing events with necessary materials.
• Research investor questions during distribution, prepare trackers, update reports, and maintain deal pipeline.
• Monitor pricing trends across sectors and markets.
• Prepare loan market commentary for internal distribution (weekly/monthly).
• Maintain database of loan comparables.
• Coordinate with Loan Trading and Portfolio Management on secondary loan execution.
• Ensure regulatory and compliance documentation for all trades.
• Support closing of loan trades by BBVA’s Closing teams.
• Provide periodic monitoring of underwritten positions and sell-down results to Team Head and Sr. Management.
