Job summary

American Express seeks a Project Specialist to support Global Network Services (GNS) Latin America partners, managing activation technology and payment relationships, and ensuring operational excellence across the region.

The role involves collaborating with internal teams and external banking partners, driving end-to-end service delivery and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships to safeguard GNS interests. PMP certification is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management.
• PMP certification required.
• Understanding and experience of all aspects of card issuance, acquisition and operations.
• Ability to collaborate and work with internal and external partners.
• Ability to create and represent Blue Box in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Support GNS LAC by transforming business through collaborations with selected banking partners.
• Manage activation technology and payment relationships with partners across multiple sites.
• Drive positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to safeguard the interests of GNS.
• Work with Business & New Business Development, Finance, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Global Network Business and Risk teams to support GNS partners.
• Build strong operational relationships and handle all technical and operational tasks in the partner payments industry.
• Manage an individual in the LAC region, overseeing end‑to‑end service management across the area.
• Collaborate with PBS LAC PMO to improve processes and create/update project management templates and guidelines.
