Job summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking a dynamic Transportation Manager to lead our final mile delivery operations at our retail fulfillment center. You will oversee route optimization, carrier partnerships, delivery team management, and ensure on-time, careful delivery to customers.

In this role, you will manage budgets, report KPIs to senior leadership, implement improvements, and lead a safety- and service-focused team across in-house and third-party carriers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required or preferred.
• 5+ years in logistics, transportation, or last-mile delivery operations.
• 3+ years of people management leading frontline teams.
• Strong route optimization, fleet management, and delivery logistics knowledge.
• Experience with budgets and driving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee final mile delivery operations, including route planning, scheduling, and dispatch.
• Manage delivery fleet maintenance, compliance, and utilization.
• Lead carrier partnerships and SLA negotiations to optimize cost and service quality.
• Monitor KPIs, identify root causes, and drive process improvements.
• Budget, staffing, and resource planning for peak periods and demand changes.
• Coach and develop delivery drivers, dispatchers, and coordinators.
