Job summary

voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation in Shelbyville, KY seeks motivated Laser Weld Operator Trainees for hands-on manufacturing roles. You will set up laser weld equipment, load materials, inspect quality, and participate in operator training curriculum.

Weekend day shifts with a $3.00 shift differential are available for this entry-level program. The position requires basic manufacturing exposure and the ability to read blueprints, with training provided to operate, program, and troubleshoot

Qualifications

• 1-3 months related experience in manufacturing or similar environment including laser welding and programming.
• Computer skills to perform job and learn manufacturing software.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Must be able to work shift assigned and overtime as needed.
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual vision tests.
• Must be US Person as defined by EAR/ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload parts.
• Record inventory transactions in manufacturing software.
• Setup machine, tooling, fixtures independently.
• Use measuring tools to assure required quality standards.
• Follow all instructions for laser weld and cut machines and related equipment.
