Job summary

voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation in Shelby County, Kentucky, seeks team members to train in CNC laser operation and assist with setup and quality inspections. You’ll learn to form/cut as per work orders and blueprints, with on-the-job coaching and RFC Academy training in lean and quality disciplines.

Qualifications

• 1–3 months related experience or training in CNC/machining.
• Basic blueprint reading and measurement.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs on a regular basis.
• Computer skills with manufacturing software and ability to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup of machine, tooling, and fixtures.
• Use beginner’s knowledge of M&G code and make minor adjustments to meet production goals.
• Use appropriate measuring tools to assure required quality standards are met.
• Follow instructions for CNC laser machine operation and related equipment.
• Produce quality parts including placement of raw material, removal and packing, cutting parts by hand where applicable.
• Complete RFC Academy training and other required courses.
• Use computers to create Work-In-Process or Finished Goods/Inventory Tickets and review route sheets.
• Follow safety guidelines and practice housekeeping.
