Job summary

PTM is seeking a laser technician programmer/operator with Mitsubishi 5-axis experience to join our manufacturing team in Fair Haven, MI. The role involves setting up and operating laser equipment, debugging CAD programs, and coordinating with the team to meet production schedules.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Mitsubishi 5-axis systems, can digitize from teach boxes, and maintain strict quality and tolerances.

Qualifications

• Experience with Mitsubishi 5-axis laser systems.
• Ability to set up, digitize and modify from teach box.
• Strong attention to part quality and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Removes trimmed/cut parts and checks for defects.
• Obtain buyoff before full run.
• Set up and operate per specifications within deadlines.
• Perform some setups independently.
• Deburr parts as required.
• Weld fixtures and dry-run CAD programs.
• Safely operate lasers.
• Coordinate with operators to maintain production schedule.
• Produce required quantity within specs and tolerances.
• Identify malfunctions and adjust dies and controls.
