Technique is seeking a 3D Laser Technician (Multi‑Axis) for the Weekend Day Shift at our Michigan facility. The role evolves from general operator tasks to Level 1 technician competencies, including fixture setup, program management, blueprint reading, and troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate understands 6-axis laser cutting, materials tolerances, and safety procedures, with willingness to obtain an industrial truck license. Overtime and schedule flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to make fast and accurate decisions relating to the production process and advanced multi‑axis laser cutting equipment.
• Good understanding of materials, tolerances, and 6‑axis laser cutting techniques.
• Commitment to safe work practices as defined within company and department‑specific safety procedures.
• Ability to work overtime and maintain flexibility in work schedule.
• Ability to obtain an industrial truck license.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow defined safety procedures.
• Work overtime as an essential function of the role.
• Maintain schedule flexibility to meet production needs.
• Load parts in the machine and start/stop the laser process.
• Read and interpret blueprints; set fixtures and run repeat jobs.
• Troubleshoot alarms and adjust cut quality as needed.
