Gabletek Robotics and Controls Solutions in Troy, MI is seeking an experienced 5 Axis CNC Operator/Programmer for a precision shop. You will program, set up, and run 5 axis machining centers on complex parts from first article to production.

Responsibilities include CAM programming (Mastercam, NX, Fusion 360, or similar), selecting tools, fixtures, and speeds/feeds, reading blueprints and GD&T, verifying tolerances with precision instruments, and collaborating with engineering to optimize cycles

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Hands-on 5-axis setup and operation.
• CAM programming using modern CAM software.
• Read blueprints and GD&T to plan machining.
• High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship desirable.

Responsibilities

• Program 5-axis centers using CAM software and edit at the control.
• Set up and operate 5-axis mills, fixtures, offsets, and tool setting.
• Read blueprints, 3D models, and GD&T to plan machining strategies.
• Prove out programs and optimize toolpaths for cycle time and finish.
• Inspect parts with micrometers and gauges to verify tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining, setup, and quality issues and make corrections.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep area clean.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality on improvements and new jobs.
