Job summary

Unarco Material Handling in Springfield, TN is seeking a Laser Technician to own the laser cutting process. You will program, set up, and optimize cutting operations using G-code and M-code, read mechanical drawings, and drive quality and uptime.

You will troubleshoot issues, coordinate with maintenance and engineering, document programs, and pursue continuous improvement on production lines, including night shift support 4 pm–2:30 am.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience operating laser cutting equipment in a production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings/documents.
• Proficiency in reading G-code and M-code languages is preferred.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Own overall performance, reliability, and optimization of the Mitsubishi laser cutting system

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent


• Minimum of 1+ year(s) of experience as a Laser Technician or higher


• Experience operating and supporting laser cutting equipment in a production environment


• Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings/documents

Preferred Qualifications

• Able to read in G-code and M-code languages


• Experience with automated systems, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, sensor or feedback systems, etc.
