Job summary

IQ Resource Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Laser Operator to program, operate, and maintain laser machinery for cutting and etching stainless steel sheets. You will set up equipment, import cutting programs with SigmaNEST, and optimize focal points to meet production specs.

The role requires blueprints reading ability, precise measurement skills, and attention to detail with minimal supervision. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts, on-site in Oshkosh, WI.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Laser Operator.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and routers.
• Strong math and measurement skills; able to use hand-held measuring tools.

Job description

Pay:

$25.00 – $28.00 per hour

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts starting between 6:30am–8:30am

• Set up and operate laser machinery according to production specifications.
• Select and import cutting programs using SigmaNEST nesting software.

• Perform accurate setups for each cutting operation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with laser machinery.
• Inspect and maintain laser machines, performing required maintenance as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Laser Operator required.
• Experience operating Mitsubishi LVP laser equipment a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and routers.
• Strong math and measurement skills; able to use hand-held measuring tools.
• Forklift and overhead crane certification preferred.
• Must be able to stay focused and productive with minimal supervision.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands for handling materials.
• Occasionally required to climb, balance, kneel, or crouch.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs frequently.
• Must have good vision and depth perception for detailed work.
