Description

The Laser Machine Operator III serves as a technical expert responsible for advanced machine operation, production support, quality oversight, maintenance activities, and operator training. This position drives operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consistently exceed expectations for attendance, punctuality, and on-time completion of assigned production work.


• Monitor production schedules and proactively identify potential issues that could impact workflow, productivity, or delivery performance.


• Perform all assigned tasks while verifying product quality and ensuring compliance with inspection requirements and quality checklists.


• Anticipate downstream manufacturing needs and proactively address potential production or quality concerns before they affect operations.


• Adjust machine parameters as required to maintain product quality, optimize performance, and improve production efficiency.


• Perform routine daily maintenance and equipment inspections to ensure reliable machine operation.


• Train and mentor team members on work center processes, equipment operation, safety practices, and quality standards.


• Create, modify, and accurately complete nesting programs to support production requirements and maximize material utilization.


• Operate, troubleshoot, and resolve machine fault codes on laser cutting systems.


• Maintain established productivity, quality, safety, and housekeeping standards within the work center.


• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.


• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and operating standards to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.


• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, delivery, and productivity performance.


• Collaborate effectively with operators, supervisors, and support personnel to meet production goals.


• Use both standard and metric measuring tools accurately to verify dimensions and specifications.


• Operate power and/or hand tools.


• Demonstrate safe operation and proper use of forklift and crane.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma/GED required


• Experience: One year of continuous experience in a manufacturing environment required


• Reading Ability: Must be able to read and understand English
