Job summary

ENTEK Manufacturing LLC in Henderson, NV is seeking a skilled Laser Programmer to optimize fabrication by creating efficient CNC laser programs, nests, and material lists. You will collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Materials teams to maximize material usage and minimize waste.

You will read engineering drawings (DXF, DWG, STEP), develop nests, set cutting parameters, and troubleshoot programs to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years in laser programming and nesting in fabrication
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal materials (steel, stainless, aluminum)
• Ability to read CAD/DXF/DWG/STEP drawings
• Experience optimizing nests for yield and efficiency
• Attention to detail and problem-solving in a fast-paced plant environment

Responsibilities

• Create, optimize, and maintain CNC laser cutting programs
• Develop efficient nests to maximize material yield
• Generate material and cut lists aligned with production schedules
• Apply cutting parameters based on material type and machine capability
• Review drawings and CAD files for manufacturability
• Troubleshoot programs and support shop floor with real-time adjustments
• Track remnants and reusable material drops
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Inventory, and Scheduling
• Maintain program files and documentation
• Drive continuous improvement in material usage and cycle times
