American Metal Specialties, Inc. is seeking a CNC Laser Programmer to design, nest, and optimize sheet metal parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will program for Bystronic and Amada systems and use CAD/CAM tools to maximize material yield and machine efficiency. The role requires knowledge of SolidWorks and nesting software, plus experience interpreting drawings and setting up machine-ready programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of SolidWorks experience.
• Minimum 2 years of CNC laser programming experience.
• Experience programming Bystronic and/or Amada laser systems preferred.
• Experience with SigmaNEST or similar nesting software preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of flat pattern development, nesting strategies, and laser cutting operations.

Responsibilities

• Create CNC programs and nests for Bystronic and Amada laser equipment based on customer PDFs, DXF, and STP files.
• Develop, modify, and optimize programs using CAD/CAM software.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to determine manufacturing requirements.
• Generate machine-ready programs and documentation to maximize material utilization.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality to support manufacturing requirements.
• Update programs and documentation to support continuous improvement.
